Recipe of the Month

Ingredients

  • Melt & Pour soap base
  • Soft sea silk sponge
  • Silicone soap mold
  • Fragrance Oil

Instructions

  1. Cut soap base into smalls cubes & melt in a double boiler or soap melter at 149°F
  2. Once melted remove from heat add in your fragrance oils - 1oz per pound of base (additives are optional)
  3. Stir to ensure any fragrance and/or additives are evenly distributed
  4. Pour 80% of your base into soap molds & spray with rubbing alcohol to prevent bubbles
  5. Let the layer of soap harden & cool for 20mins to build enough skin on the top to hold the sponge in place
  6. Reheat the remaining soap or take from soap melter (make sure the soap does not boil)
  7. Spray the soap with rubbing alcohol so that layers will adhere to sponge
  8. Fill the mold with additional soap & place sponge into the mold
  9. Again spray with alcohol to get rid of bubbles
  10. Allow base to cool & set completely before removing from mold
  11. Let cool for 24hrs in a cool, dry location & wrap once complete
